NutshellMail selected to join the fbFund Rev Incubator Program

I have always wondered what if would feel like to hear Randy Jackson tell me “You’re going to Hollywood, Dawg.” The problem is I am not much of a singer, but on May 22nd, the entire NutshellMail team received some of the best news in our company’s short history—NutshellMail was selected to join the fbFund Rev Incubator program.
“You’re going to Palo Alto, Dawg”
The news didn’t come from Randy Jackson, but from Dave McClure, a very well-respected and “Internet famous” developer, entrepreneur, blogger, investor and self-proclaimed “internet-marketing nerd.” Dave may not have Randy Jackson’s fashion sense, but he is running the 2009 fbFund Incubator program and knows what it takes to build a successful company.
So what is the fbFund?
The fbFund is a joint-venture between Accel Partners and Founders Fund and Facebook and was created to help foster quality applications on the Facebook Platform and Facebook Connect. As one of the 20 companies selected for 2009, we have received an investment from the fund and have moved out to Palo Alto for “startup bootcamp.” Throughout the summer, we will office out of the original Facebook offices in downtown Palo Alto and try to balance work while learning from various Silicon Valley veterans and Facebook engineers.
So what does this mean for NutshellMail?
Everything! It’s not about the investment or validation of our application from a panel of big names. It’s about the opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the nexus of high tech and to work with and learn from other entrepreneurs, developers and people who want to show us the path to success.
Throughout the summer, I will post periodic updates to share our experiences and lessons learned. This is our big break and we are very thankful for the opportunity and for the incredible support we have received from our users, family, friends, investors, the Houston startup community and the Houston Technology Center.

You all deserve this…I hope you have a fun! Congratulations!!
I couldn’t be prouder of you guys! I’m sure this is just the start of bigger and better things for NutshellMail.
Great job guys! Good luck and congratulations!!!
