NutshellMail is a free, web-based service developed to help you better access, manage, and monitor all your email and social networking accounts through your most commonly used inbox. NutshellMail transforms your primary email account into a universal inbox so you can retrieve messages and manage all your accounts in one place. NutshellMail was also designed to enable employees, restricted from third-party messaging accounts, to securely access personal messages at work without violating their employer's IT policies.
NutshellMail is a service for both non-technical and web-savvy users. It is a tool with many applications and our subscribers use the service for many distinct purposes. Some use NutshellMail simply to save time and to keep track of their various accounts. Employees restricted from accessing external messaging accounts use NutshellMail to retrieve personal messages without violating corporate policies. And parents use NutshellMail to keep track of their young children’s email and social networking activities.
NutshellMail was co-founded by David Lyman and Mark Schmulen in 2007 and is currently beta testing with plans to launch to the public very soon.
NutshellMail takes copies of messages from all of your email and social networking accounts and places them in a snapshot email. The NutshellMail Update is then emailed to any inbox you already use as often as you like. From the Update, you can request for any message to be forwarded into your primary email account. You can also access all your messaging accounts through your personal NutshellMail inbox.
NutshellMail is compliant with most corporate email and internet policies.
How? Most companies block access to external messaging accounts because they can not effectively monitor employees’ activities on them. Many companies are required to track and retain all electronic messages sent and recieved through their network. Consequently, most email policies are based on a single requirement: All messages must pass through the corporate email servers.
NutshellMail is compliant with most corporate policies because our communications are sent to you like any other email message, and therefore pass through your company’s email servers.
